Description

The Photographers is a monochrome image from the project In the twilight zone by Niklas Storm.

I went to the Shetlands for what turned out to be a fantastic photo workshop with Mats Andersson. The goal was to challenge traditional nature photography and create art that provokes feelings. This was awarded the “photo of the workshop”. In my book In the twilight zone, where Mats wrote the preface he described it like this “An image emanating melancholy. Fictional, or possibly some sort of self-portrait? A saddened puffin in the foreground is looking at a group of people appearing as dark, ghostlike silhouettes. Is the sad bird and the photographer one and the same – someone in the process of excluding others. The image touches me and provokes thought. To me this is what good photography is all about.“

Editions

The image is a Fine Art Print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308g. The image is signed and done in limited, numbered editions with a certificate of authenticity. Available in two sizes:
