The elusive wolf – Fine Art Print

The elusive wolf is an image from the project Shinrin-yoku by Niklas Storm.

I wanted an image that symbolizes the biological diversity, or rather, the lack of it. The wolf has become a hated animal in many places, including Sweden. Many of those opposing wolves have little or none experience of it, but there’s of course those that have actual issues, like sheep farmers. It’s not a simple equation to solve, but wolves and other predators must have a place in nature, we can’t just exterminate everything that causes problems.

Even though there are wolf territories quite close to my home, I never managed to see a wolf there. To get the image I wanted for the book I took a trip to northern Finland and visited Wildlife Safaris Finland, where you’re in practice guaranteed to see them.

The image is a Fine Art Print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308g. The image is signed and done in limited, numbered edition with a certificate of authenticity. Available in two sizes:

• 33×23 cm – Edition of 5. Print surface 27×17 cm.
