Description

I was department manager at an international company when the acquisition of a competitor was announced. We didn’t expect the monster that was lurking behind the corner, when a year of reorganization, layoffs and conflicts started. When it was time for Christmas holidays the mess had taken it’s toll, I was put on sick leave for exhaustion syndrome. The path back included photo as therapy, a photo workshop with a huge impact on my photography as well as successes in photo competitions. It all comes together in the project In the twilight zone by Niklas Storm.

The preface is written by nature and art photographer Mats Andersson, who also designed the book. In the preface he writes “An image emanating melancholy. Fictional, or possibly some sort of self-portrait? A saddened puffin in the foreground is looking at a group of people appearing as dark, ghostlike silhouettes. Is the sad bird and the photographer one and the same – someone in the process of excluding others. The image touches me and provokes thought. To me this is what good photography is all about.
