Description

I was a department manager at an international company when an acquisition of a competitor was announced. We really had no idea what monster was lurking around the corner when a year of reorganizations, layoffs and conflicts began. When it was time for the Christmas holidays, the mess had taken its toll, I was on sick leave with exhaustion syndrome or more popularly put, I was burned out. The way back with photography as therapy, a photo workshop with a great impact on my photography, successes in photo competitions – everything is woven together in the project In the twilight zone by Niklas Storm.

The foreword is written by the well-known nature and art photographer Mats Andersson, who also designed the book. In the preface he writes, among other things, ” An image that conveys something melancholy. A fiction – or is it possibly some kind of self-portrait? In the foreground, a puffin stands and looks sadly at a group of people who appear as ghosts like dark silhouettes. Is it the photographer who is the sad bird – who has just given the message to the group of people that they are not allowed to participate? The image touches me and starts a thought process. That’s when it’s good photography in my opinion .”
