Niklas Storm releases the book In the twilight zone

I was department manager at a global corporation when the acquisition of a competitor was announced. We didn’t anticipate the monster that was lurking behind the corner when a year of reorganizations, layoffs and conflicts started. When it was time for Christmas leave the mess had taken it’s toll, I was put on sick leave for exhaustion syndrome, or more popularly put, I was burned out. The way back with using photography as therapy, a photo workshop with a big impact on my photography, competition successes – it all comes together in the book In the twilight zone.

Preface written by famous photographer

The preface is written by well-known nature and art photogragher Mats Andersson, who also designed the book. In the preface he writes “An image emanating melancholy. Fictional, or possibly some sort of self-portrait? A saddened puffin in the foreground is looking at a group of people appearing as dark, ghostlike silhouettes. Is the sad bird and the photographer one and the same – someone in the process of excluding others. The image touches me and provokes thought. To me this is what good photography is all about.“

Book release and exhibition

The book is released during Östgötadagarna 2021 september 4-5, at Skeda loge, Linköping. At the release there is also vernissage for the photo exhibition In the twilight zone. The book and exhibitions is also present at Vadstena konstrunda september 10-12, in Vadstena castle.
